Immerse in Diverse Sounds at Hi Fest

Hi Fest is Hayling Island's only free music festival. Run by volunteers, our passion lies in bringing together genres that speak to the soul, creating a harmonious tapestry of music experiences. From electrifying beats to soulful melodies, Hi Fest celebrates diversity and inclusivity. Artists and Sound Engineers give their time and talent for free, contributing to a sense of community and collaboration.  Join us on Hayling Island for a musical extravaganza like no other.

Meet The Committee

Dedicated volunteers working together to create an unforgettable festival experience for you!

Jane

Jane has a long-standing involvement in music, including singing with bands, teaching vocalists, music photography, and artist support. She also works alongside her husband Ian at their home recording studio (Therapy Rooms), where she designs and produces CD artwork, bringing valuable creative and industry experience to Hi Fest.

David

Involved in Hi Fest since its inception, David brings his sound engineering expertise to the team and also performs regularly across Hayling with his band, Friday Street. You can catch them again at this year’s festival!

Charlie & Helen

Husband and wife team Charlie and Helen play in local band Iscalis, and have performed at Hi Fest several times over the years. With many years’ experience as musicians in all sorts of settings, they bring a mix of performer and organiser perspectives o the Hi Fest committee and are proud to be part of the team.

Wayne

Wayne is new to the organisational side of Hi Fest and is also a member of local band Iscalis alongside Helen and Charlie. This year he’ll be splitting his time between the back room and the stage, and hopes everyone enjoys the festival whether they’re playing, watching, or both.

Kevin

Kevin has been involved with Hi Fest since its very beginnings and continues to support the festival in an advisory role. He brings valuable experience and perspective from helping shape Hi Fest in its formative years and remains a trusted sounding board for the committee as the festival moves forward.

Laura

Laura played a key role in the early identity of Hi Fest, designing the original festival logo that is still proudly used today. Her creative contribution helped establish the look and feel of Hi Fest and remains an important part of the festival’s story.
